We are abortion abolitionists.
We are abolitionists in the tradition of Granville Sharp, Thomas Clarkson, Josiah Wedgewood, and William Wilberforce-men who worked to see slavery abolished in England. We are abolitionists in the tradition of William Lloyd Garrison, Harriet Beecher Stowe, and Frederick Douglass-men and women who worked to see slavery abolished in the United States.
The abolition of abortion as a movement is purposefully grounded in the orthodox truths about God and man as revealed in Scripture. The starting place for all of our actions and activities are not secular, but sacred. Our opposition to abortion does not proceed from an irreligious moral outrage at the horrors of abortion or any mere sentimentality for unborn babies. Our opposition to abortion proceeds from a deep-seated conviction that abortion is an abomination in the eyes of God. We seek to bring the abortion debate under the Lordship of Jesus Christ by being open and unapologetic about our religious presuppositions that affect our views about this highly contentious issue.
